I started going to swimming lessons in Ukraine when I was 8, and joined a professional swimming team at the age of 10. I've been training as a professional swimmer since I turned 20. Still a student, I started my career as a lifeguard and then as a swimming coach. I graduated from Armenian National University of Physical Education with a Bachelor's degree in swimming when I already had 2 years of coaching experience. After working in Armenia as a swimming coach for more than 4 years, I moved to the Netherlands at the start of 2021, where I continued my coaching career.

I’m from Scotland. I started swimming when I was 4 and have continued ever since! When I started competing, I discovered a love for coaching as I observed my own teachers, who I admired greatly. I started helping with the younger swimmers, then after completing the long process of acquiring a bachelor’s degree in Youth, Popular Education and Sport, specialised in Aquatic Activities and Swimming (BPJEPS AAN), I properly began my swim coach career. Since moving to the Netherlands to continue my studies in International Creative Business, I have put my 10 years of experience to good use, meeting hundreds of new swimmers and helping them to achieve their goals in unfamiliar territories. My motto is to take it easy and learn from swallowing too much water.

I dived into swim coaching in 2014. Growing up with the passion to swim, I learnt how to swim in the concrete jungle that is London, United Kingdom from the age of 3. I went from lifeguard work in 2013 to swimming teaching later in 2014. Between the years of 2015-2020 I taught swimming in Dubai, UAE to students from 3 years old to senior. Now based in the Netherlands, I am continuing my swim coaching career with Swim Easy helping swimmers from beginner to advanced levels improve their swimming and reaching their goals.

Coaching style

I like to work with each technique detail to teach people to swim easily and lightly. I develop individual approaches to improve my trainees' swimming techniques.

I know how to motivate people to overcome their fear of water.

Specialities

I have been changing swimming styles since I was 10, and eventually stopped at long-distance swimming(800/1500m in a pool and longer distances in open water). I have also frequently participated in triathlons. I am equally proficient in teaching all swimming styles and all swimming levels.

Coaching style

I believe in helping you to understand how to swim, rather than showing you what it looks like and asking you to repeat. I’m all about the details and techniques and I am happy with any form of improvement! Generally, I break down a stroke and build it back up layer by layer. How does this work? Sign up and find out

Specialities

As a competitive swimmer, I specialised in sprint races in all 4 official strokes. I’m always down for a race! I can also blow cool bubble rings from the bottom of the pool!

Coaching style

I like to help swimmers conquer their fear of water.

I like to build a good strong stroke, with kicking and streamlining techniques.

Specialities

I am a licensed scuba diver and have swam in all types of environments. I have experience coaching in a competitive setting.
